Nursing Building
Providing clinical supervision is a foundational competency for mental health professionals and is essential to the continuation of our field. Supervisors’ ability to skillfully provide feedback and navigate conflict within supervisory relationships may be influenced by many variables, including supervisors’ level of training and experience, the developmental level of supervisees, identity-based and cultural variables, and the state of the supervisory alliance. This program will provide best practices in supervision for addressing competency concerns, developing the supervisory alliance, and providing continuous feedback. This program will also feature a panel discussion of experienced supervisors. Participants will also apply their learning to several case examples.
